Essentially these CDs include a more scientific approach into sounds and frequencies designed to help animals by utilising hypnosis aspects and other specific relaxation inducing components not currently available in the marketplace. Each CD works on the following levels:

1. Neurosonic Frequencies: Special frequencies designed by Rick Collingwood: world renowned hypnotist and multi ARIA Award winning CD Author, designed to promote an easy and effective transition into a deepened state of relaxation and trance as experienced in hypnosis.

       • A special theta rhythm to induce deep relaxation

2. Classical music played at 45 BPM to further promote the relaxation and calming process.
The songs contained on this recording utilize the correct tempo, musical phraseology, instrument selection and also frequency selections to ensure your pet will instantly become calm. 3. A constant human heartbeat sampled at a sleeping state to promote a feeling of safety and security within the animal as usually experienced whilst in the company of their owner’s.

This series of pet CD's was developed due to a number of unique factors which highlighted not only a superior combination of sounds for positive results on all animals but also a high demand in the international marketplace for a product of this nature to help pet owners and pets alike.

1.    In the initial stages of developing the Neurosonic Frequencies for use with the Personal Hypnotherapy CD's the frequencies were tested in an animal refuge in Brisbane Australia out of curiosity as to the effects they had on animals. Although not documents - there was no need to - the resulting behavioural changes in the animals in this refuge were dramatic upon playing the frequencies through a portable stereo. Before listening the majority of the animals before were restless, barking and running around with an obvious unsettled anxiety, and after only 1 minute of the frequencies being played almost all of the animals calmed down and began to relax. The effect was phenomenal.

2.    Over the years of distributing Rick Collingwood's Hypnosis CD's countless positive feedback was received from customers advising that whilst listening to the CD's their pets also heard the recording and as such calmed down and fell asleep. Some stories highlighted this being an extremely unique occurrence and one which they continued for future use specifically for their pets. The demand for the release of such a product had been brewing for some time.

These CD's do not contain any verbal hypnosis, although the frequencies ands sounds contained therein will place the animal into a deepened state of relaxation. Whilst in such a state it has been proven in humans and animals alike, the immense benefits including significant improvements in stress reduction, anxiety issues, improved sleeping patterns and even physical manifestations such as helping prevent and overcome illnesses and certain afflictions are activated.

It is now commonly acknowledged that our pets suffer from the same emotional issues as humans especially including stress and anxiety, and the effects of these can lead to the manifestation of a wide variety of physical problems including cancers, tumours and other terminal illnesses.

With the high cost of veterinarians and other cures to help our animals once they become sick and not to mention the obvious pain and discomfort for the animal, it makes perfect sense to focus on prevention for these afflictions rather than the cure. The physical and emotional composition and traits of animals is actually quite similar to humans as proven my a multitude of scientific reports. In saying this, the healing and prevention properties of the correct choice od sounds and music is fast
becoming evident through modern science.

One such report conducted by the University of Maryland Medical Centre, presented at the
Scientific Sessions of the American Heart Association, on November 11, 2008, In New Orleans
found a distinct relationship between sounds and the blood flow in humans.

"Music, selected by study participants because it made them feel good and brought them a
sense of joy, caused tissue in the inner lining of the blood vessels to dilate (or expand) in order to
increase blood flow. Compared to baseline, the average upper arm blood vessel diameter increased
26 percent after the joyful music phase, while listening to music that caused anxiety
narrowed blood vessels by 6 percent".

By taking these realisations and developing a highly specific combination of sounds contained on
the CD's, pets and owners alike will experience numerous positive benefits. With particular emphasis
on the "Pet Healing" CD, we have taken the research proving another distinct relationship between
improving the rate and ability to activate the healing mechanisms prevalent within every animal and
human whilst experiencing deepened levels of consciousness and deep relation (delta and also theta realms).
Hypnotic techniques and relaxing music are commonly accepted as the most effective means to
enter into such a state of mind where the body will repair itself at a heightened rate, forming the
focus for the composition of this CD to actively encourage this transformation. The same principals
also have the obvious added benefit that when performed correctly as on these CD's,
any animal will instantly become calm.

Dear Rick,

In October my Dalmatian puppy, Holly of just 9 months, was hit by a Nissan Truck. She broke her legs, pelvis and dislocated her spine as well as being badly scarred.

The vets didn’t even think it was worth washing her as they were sure she would have to be put down. Laying in her bed we played  her your Pet Healing CD. The next day the vets couldn’t believe her determination to get better and so washed her and bandaged her legs. A week later the vets were calling her the “Miracle Dog” and were bringing in specialists to work on her as she was such a happy puppy who seemed to have a willpower to heal. We continued to play the Pet Healing CD to Holly every evening and sometimes during the day when she was feeling restless. Now Six weeks later she is walking, wagging her tail again and on the path to being our happy puppy again.

Having had a dog that has been terrified of loud noises and bangs all her life, we always dread fireworks night. When the fireworks begin our dog, Jess, goes absolutely crazy and tries to climb inside the kitchen cupboards to hide(usually throwing everything out first!).

This year we tried playing the pet calm CD a few minutes before we knew the local fireworks display was scheduled to begin. Jess settled down at our feet until the fireworks began, at which point she got up, walked around a bit but then came back and laid down and went to sleep at our feet! Quite amazing. We are now no longer concerned about fireworks night. Highly recommended if you have a nervous dog.

Hypnotherapy can have powerful results for humans, so when we heard that something along these
lines was being offered to cats we simply had to find out more. I have never been on the same wavelength as my cat Missy. I guess she’s what you’d call a typical ‘naughty tortie’, but I sense
that her ‘problems’ run much deeper that. One minute she is the most angelic of cats
and butter wouldn’t melt and the next she grows horns and hooves and runs around
spitting fire at everyone and everything. So, I was more than happy to try out one
of two new hypnosis CDs, ‘Pet Calm’, the other being ‘Pet Healing’, which aim to
place animals in a deepened state of consciousness to relax and calm them.

So how did the CD fare with Missy?
Despite being a bit sceptical, I was keen to get one home to try on my ‘little angel’
and that night placed a small CD player on the floor next to my bed. As soon as
Missy heard the music she started rubbing herself all over the CD player and she
sat by it for ages purring loudly and more content than I have ever seen her. My
partner and I were amazed! She then jumped up on the bed, curled up and
continued to purr.
I can’t say it did anything for us; we didn’t feel any more relaxed, but I will
definitely use it for the cats, especially when she’s having one of her ‘moments’.

Originally designed for humans, it was by chance that its producers Mind Motivations
discovered they also had an impact on pets. Australian clinical hypnotherapist Rick
Collingwood, founder of the company, explains: “We decided to test the CD on
cats as they have a super sensitive nervous system. We knew when it was right for cats
it would be good for people. We found that such was the effect of the CD that the cats
would sit down and start purring and it when from there.”

Since 1995 Rick has assisted thousands of people using his own unique therapeutic
hypnosis techniques. He has also conducted group hypnosis sessions with up to almost
900 people. Having made headlines in Australia and the US, Rick is currently in
the UK to hold a series of demonstrations.
Music for animals
“Our pets are important parts of the modern family unit,” says Rick, “so it’s
only natural that we want the best for them, just as when they fall sick or become
injured we want them to recover quickly and experience minimal pain. However,
animals cannot be hypnotized as such as you can’t run through the verbal hypnotic
introduction with them, So, there are no words on the pet CDs, instead
the music has been slowed down and a heartbeat added. They work by altering the resonating brain frequency of the animal, slowing it down, so calming the pet. Much like us when we have lots of thoughts that can sometimes stop us from thinking clearly, pets can too and the CDs help to keep them in a daydream state.
“Simply play the CD within the animal’s hearing range and enjoy an immediate
positive response. It’s also an excellent way to bond with your pet and can even have
an effect on you too.”
The CDs are said to be able to help a number of behavioural problems in pets,
including separation anxiety. Leading cat behaviourist Vicky Halls says the CDs could
also prove beneficial in catteries and vet hospitals. She adds: “I have always played
classical music in my vet practices for recovering cat patients and cats love lying
on chests and pregnant bumps so the heartbeat /classical combo may be really useful.”
Mind Motivations’ managing director Nashir Janmohamed joined forces with
Rick after seeing the benefits of his hypnosis sessions on his late wife Nevin
after she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Nashir explains: “The results were
phenomenal. Almost overnight Nevin’s pain disappeared, she became positive in
her mood, her appetite returned, her sleeping pattern normalized and her overall condition
improved to the point that friends who were unaware of her diagnosis began
commenting on how radiant and well she looked. Even her surgeon was amazed at
how quickly she had recovered.”
Despite her physical wellness, the cancer spread and sadly Nevin lost her battle with
cancer in June last year. However, her dying wish was to share her story and introduce
Rick’s teachings and CDs into the UK. Keen to demonstrate how well the CDs
work, Nashir had arranged for his friend Akbar Manji to bring his cat Mini along
meet Rick. As you would expect, Mini was not very happy at being in her carrier or in
a strange house when she first arrived, but on hearing the CD really did seem to relax.
