Feng Shui
Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese
wisdom that dates back more than 4000 years. It means wind and
water and studies the influence it has on human life. Feng Shui is
the art of understanding energy and how it moves in our lives and
our surroundings, including how it is affected by our buildings,
our decor and landscapes etc.

believe that positive and negative outcomes are the results of
favourable and unfavourable Feng Shui. For many centuries the

Objects
Bells Bells are considered to represent good
fortune, and protection. When used in business they should be
placed along the west or northwest wall to bring good fortune.
Bells are great to hang around your home, preferable where they
will catch the draft. Bells are used to
attract positive energy to any area in which they are
placed
Chinese
Coins Coins are usually used
to influence prosperity. Hang behind the front door to prevent
loss. Place in important document file to assist in promotions.
Hang behind office chair to prevent back-stabbing. Place in account
books to generate more income or under cash register to generate
new business. They
can also represent protection for the holder against evil and
negative energies
Bagwa
(Pa-Kua) Considered to be of great importance in
correcting the Feng Shui in a place of residence or business. You
should always place outside the home and never inside.The
bagwa is regarded as a
protective charm to attract good luck and repel bad. It is said the bagwa was born on
the back of a creature that rose up from the depths at the dawn of
time and the secrets of the universe are contained within
it
Fans
Ancient folklore says
that fans symbolise the circulation of the positive chi energy and
are helpful in dispersing negative chi. The are useful for dark
rooms that get little sunlight. Hang on the wall in the fully open
position
Quan Yin
The Quan Yin is the
goddess of mercy, healing and compassion. Also known as the
female Buddha. She blesses everything. She is known as the eternal
protector of all children. You can place the Quan Yin in any room
and it is said to help calm the environment of negative influences
such as illness, disappointments and arguments
Laughing
Buddha This Buddha is
well known as the symbol of happiness, wealth, kindness, and joy.
Ancient folklore says that by rubbing his belly which is said
to be full of wealth, it will bring good luck and
prosperity
Metal Wind

on the west side of your home to promote good fortune

Animals

by the trunk of the Elephant raised towards the Money Frog. It is
believed that a woman wanting to conceive who places an elephant
with it's calf in her bedroom will increase her chances of her
having a boy
Butterflies
Represent love and
joy. It is considered
extremely bad feng shui to display dead butterflies
Rooster
represents authority,
power and confidence
Unicorn
represents fertility,
joy and longevity
Ducks
Mandarin Ducks form a
strong attachment to their partners, they are also an emblem of
conjugal fidelity. A pair of Mandarin Ducks are excellent symbols
for keeping love alive. Always keep in a pair
Three-Legged Frog This frog is usually shown sitting on a pile
of gold coins. It is especially helpful when placed in your wealth
area - where you keep your money - or placed next to a cash
register
Fu Dogs
These dogs resemble lions
and they symbolize prestige and power. They usually come in pairs,
one on either side of your front doorway for protection
Bat
The Chinese consider bats
to be bringers of happiness and good fortune. A pair of bats bring
double happiness
Fish
All fish are considered
lucky for abundance and money
Phoenix
This magical, mythical
creature who rises from the ashes symbolizes peace and
blessings
Horse
A symbol of a life full
of good fortune, strength, perseverance and success. Horses are a
very auspicious symbol as they are believed to help you overcome
obstacles and make life run smoothly
Money Frog Associated with wealth due to its closeness
with water, which is also a symbol of wealth. The money frog is
also believed to guard against misfortune and bless the home with
wealth and prosperity. The money frog may be placed in the
southeast corner of your home or business
Turtle
Symbolises a long and
fruitful life filled with good fortune. Also represents protection
and courage in the face of adversity. May be placed in your work
place, or any place in your home you feel would benefit from
its symbolism
Lion
Represents nobility and
courage. The powers of the lion are strength, courage, luck
nobleness of spirit. Often lions are seen at the gates to homes,
businesses or temples as guards to ward off evil
Tiger
Skill, judgment and the
protector of our souls. Considered to be one of the best protective
animals against demons and evil intentions from strangers. The
stripes of the tiger are said to represent yin and yang
Pigs
It is said that pigs
bring great prosperity and happiness to a household. It is
best to have a pair as one should be male and the other female
as this symbolises harmony and balance as in Yin and
Yang
